Nebraska Democrats’ Leftist Lunacy
Harris’s Failure Shows Their Agenda Has No Place in the Heartland
As a Christian, I’m a Reformed Baptist if you’re wondering, and a former Republican who went nonpartisan to escape political idiocy, I’ve never trusted the Democratic Party, in Nebraska or anywhere else. Their policies are a circus of insanity, and their behavior is a godless clown show that spits on my faith and fiscal responsibility. Under Jane Kleeb, the Nebraska Democratic Party has gone full radical leftist, alienating sensible voters like me who want practical solutions, not woke lectures. Sure, they’ve won elections in Omaha and Lincoln, but that’s only because of backlash to Trump, not because Nebraskans love their lunacy. Kleeb’s obsession with Kamala Harris, whose 2024 presidential campaign was a pathetic flop, proves she’s driving the party into oblivion. Their radicalism kills the conservative-liberal clash democracy needs, and instead of the common-sense Democratic Party I’d like to see, we’re stuck with extremists who don’t get Nebraska.
Nebraska Democrats: Winning by Default, Not Merit
Scripture calls for stewardship, moral clarity, and hard work. I voted Republican for years because they at least nodded to those values, but I went nonpartisan to support candidates who deliver results, not dogma. The Nebraska Democratic Party has never been an option. Their policies—pushing abortion, gender ideology, and reckless spending—are an insult to my faith and the families of this state. Under Kleeb, they’ve doubled down on radical leftism, leaving no room for the common-sense party we need.
They brag about wins in Omaha and Lincoln, like the 2nd Congressional District’s “blue dot” electoral vote for Democrats in 2008, 2020, and 2024. But let’s be clear: those victories aren’t because Nebraskans love their agenda. They’re a backlash to Trump’s polarizing style, not an endorsement of Kleeb’s progressive fever dreams. Outside those urban pockets, the party’s a ghost. Since 1998, Democratic voter registrations have crashed by nearly 10%, with folks like me going nonpartisan because we can’t stomach their insanity.
Their treatment of Omaha Senator Mike McDonnell shows their true colors. A Catholic who stood firm on abortion and gender issues, he was censured and pushed out, flipping to the Republicans in 2024 and handing the GOP a filibuster-proof majority in the Legislature. That’s a betrayal of the biblical values—life, family, God’s design—that guide so many Nebraskans. Their platform, packed with free handouts and climate crusades, ignores the crushing property taxes strangling farmers and homeowners. A common-sense Democratic Party would focus on affordability and safety, not identity politics that belong in a coastal college, not Columbus, Nebraska.
Jane Kleeb’s Kamala Harris Worship
Kleeb’s February 2025 election as president of the Association of State Democratic Committees might impress her radical pals, but it’s a disaster for Nebraska. She’s tied herself to Kamala Harris, leading the state’s 34-member delegation to endorse Harris at the 2024 Democratic National Convention and crowing about the “blue dot” win for Harris in the 2nd Congressional District. She called Harris a “new generation of Democrats,” but if this is the future, it’s a future of failure. Hitching her wagon to Harris, who ran the most incompetent presidential campaign in memory, proves Kleeb’s either delusional or loves a good catastrophe. Harris’s flop is a screaming warning that Nebraska Democrats are on the wrong path.
Kamala Harris’s Campaign: A Pathetic Disaster
Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign was a clown show so embarrassing it’d be laughable if it weren’t so infuriating. I value fiscal responsibility and accountability, I was appalled watching Harris squander hundreds of millions in donations on a campaign with no substance. With just 100 days after Biden’s debate collapse forced him out, Harris had to prove she wasn’t his baggage. Instead, she clung to Biden’s toxic record, refusing to criticize his economic policies that left families like mine buried under grocery and gas prices. Two-thirds of Americans said the country was a mess, but Harris babbled about “equity” and abortion—issues that don’t pay bills or honor God’s commandments.
Her campaign was a chaotic mess of infighting, with Biden’s lackeys and her hires tripping over each other. She dodged real issues like the border crisis, which worries Nebraskans who want safe communities and jobs for citizens. Her pandering to the woke crowd—pushing policies that mock biblical truths about life and family—was a slap in the face to Christians like me. The result? A crushing loss to Trump and Vance, proving voters want solutions, not a radical leftist lecture.
Radicalism Kills Democracy’s Clash
Democracy thrives when conservative and liberal values collide, forging common-sense solutions through compromise. I hold to conservative principles—fiscal discipline, limited government, and God’s moral law—but I see value in liberal ideas like targeted safety nets if they’re affordable. That clash is what makes America strong, producing policies like job training or infrastructure projects that serve everyone. But the Nebraska Democratic Party’s radical leftism makes this impossible. They don’t want dialogue; they want to force their godless, spendthrift agenda on us all. In a state that prizes pragmatism, their refusal to compromise kills the democratic process. A common-sense Democratic Party would meet conservatives halfway, but these radicals would rather burn it all down.
We Need Common Sense, Not Radicals
I’d love to see a Democratic Party that’s sane—one that respects Nebraska’s values of faith, family, and fiscal responsibility. A party that fields candidates who understand farmers, churchgoers, and small-town folks, not just Omaha and Lincoln’s urban elite. A party that prioritizes lowering property taxes, strengthening schools, and keeping communities safe, not promising handouts we can’t afford or pushing policies that clash with Scripture. But under Kleeb, we’re stuck with radical leftists who think Harris’s disaster is a roadmap.
The Nebraska Democratic Party needs to fire the ideologues and elect a chair who gets it. Stop following Harris’s failed playbook and start talking to voters like me—folks who want a balanced budget and leaders who honor God. Their Omaha and Lincoln wins are a fluke, riding Trump backlash, not a sign of strength. Kleeb’s national role, pushing the same radicalism that tanked Harris, will only bleed more voters. As a nonpartisan, I’m open to voting for anyone who respects my faith and my wallet, but the Nebraska Democratic Party is a lost cause.
